HSBC Bank, Colon Free Trade Zone

The Group has been operating in Panama since opening a representative office in 1972. Approval to operate as a licensed banking institution in Panama City was granted in 1973 and in the Colon Free Zone in 1993.
In 2000 the Group acquired the banking operations of Chase Manhattan Bank in Panama. In 2005 HSBC acquired the group of companies trading under the brand name Financomer which entered the personal lending market in Panama in 1986. Today HSBC has 19 branches in Panama offering a full range of personal and commercial banking needs as well as 12 branches operating under the Financomer brand. |
